“…but first, let me take a selfie”. Your best smiles in pictures can tell a lot about your holiday.
Let’s go and discover the places where you can shoot your perfect memories.
CATAFURCO WATERFALLS. You can reach the Catafurco waterfalls by walking along a track. This place offers marvellous views that unexpectedly appear in front of your eyes. Nature shows off its ancient and unspoiled beauty and in this area you can find the Petagna, the ‘dinosaur plant’. In summer you can’t resist enjoying a swim.
VICOLO STRETTO ( NARROW STREET) IN TAORMINA. Vicolo Stretto is the narrowest street on the whole island, and among the narrowest in Europe. It is the perfect setting to snap a memory that will always make you smile. Here you can enjoy postcard views and a dreamy atmosphere. Taormina is a city with many charms that make it truly unique. You can visit the Greek theatre with its breathtaking view, or walk along the inner streets that bear witness to the medieval history of the town. Taormina is the perfect destination for an unforgettable holiday, every year it fulfills the expectations of millions of tourists from all over the world.
A BENCH IN CEFALU’. Sit on one of the benches on the most romantic pier on Sicily’s Tyrrhenian coast and you’ll live an unforgettable experience. Let your eyes glide over the undulating sea, gaze upon the beach, and on through to the old fishermen’s houses beyond and you will realise that Cefalù is a magical place. Don’t be surprised when you notice a lot of cats walking around the town squares because at lunchtime, it is traditional to lower wicker baskets from the house balconies with delicious leftovers.
BETWEEN THE TWO SEAS: THE ISLAND OF THE CURRENTS. In the area around Portopalo di Capo Passero, in the province of Siracusa, there is one of the most evocative places in the world. The Island of Currents emerges where the Mediterranean and Ionian seas meet. Here you can see the waters creating hypnotic swirls and reflections. At low tide, the island turns into Italy’s most southern point. Portopalo is the favourite destination to windsurf lovers. It seduces with its wild charm and fabulous beaches, accessible and suitable also for families with children.
SICILY’S MIDPOINT. In the centre of Sicily is Enna, Italy’s ‘highest’ capital. The Tower of Frederick II is the best vantage point and from here the city offers a beautiful picture perfect view. Right in front of the Tower stands the Obelisk, which indicates the geometric centre of the island. This is a perfect setting to snap your journey into the heart of an unexpected Sicily.
