Kite Festival: San Vito Lo Capo and Cefalù

A beach, a beautiful day and a profound passion for carefree fun and joy. These are the essential ingredients for a real kite festival. It seems that Sicily does not lack these ingredients and so the Festival of San Vito lo Capo was born.

During the three days, huge colourful kites piloted by expert hands from all over the world compete on the beach. In addition, educational workshops are held to learn or perfect the technique of kite construction.

This important event takes place in May; recently, the “Vento d’amare” event has been added to the calendar, a new performance in September on the beach of Cefalù and a Festival preview on the island of Favignana. So, kite, sea and colour lovers, get organised to come and have fun with us.
