Itinerarium Rosaliae
Dettaglio
A journey to the discovery of the Inland of Sicily, for some ways unusual, to touch those places witnessing the passage of Santa Rosalia.
The Rosaliae Itinerarium, winds on a network of trails made up by “regie trazzere”, mule tracks and disused railroads between Palermo and Agrigento: a path walkable on foot, by bike, on horseback away from the main roads, to discover evocative destinations, rich in traditions, gastronomic products of excellence and wooded areas of rare beauty.
The route of about 185 kilometers, developes from the Santa Rosalia Sanctuary of Monte Pellegrino in Palermo to the Eremo of Santa Rosalia alla Quisquina in the province of Agrigento, and vice versa crossing the natural areas of Monte Cammarata, Monte Carcaci, Monti di Palazzo Adriano, Valle del Sosio, Monte Genoardo and Santa Maria del Bosco, Bosco della Ficuzza, Rocca Busambra, Bosco del Cappelliere, Gorgo del Drago, Serra della Pizzuta, Monte Pellegrino e il Parco dei Monti Sicani.
This itinerary is the ideal setting for contemplation and meditation and offers breath taking panoramic views, and monumental aspects all to discover.
