Holiday in Syracuse for children and teenagers

Detail

Syracuse is a child-friendly city. It's also the city of Archimedes, discoverer of the principles of physics and a great inventor! In Syracuse, you'll visit the Archimedes Technopark, an educational and scientific institute divided into themed areas.

The Technopark is especially suitable for secondary school children, but even the youngest can have fun here and learn something about physics and the famous inventor. The park is a few metres from the Greek Theatre of Syracuse; it's open every day but you need to book in advance. In Ortigia, there's another perfect attraction for the little ones: the aquarium!

There are puppets in Syracuse, too. The Compagnia dei Pupari di Vaccaro e Mauceri puppet company brings the splendours of a simultaneously ancient contemporary theatrical form to life. You’ll visit the Museo Aretuseo dei puppi puppet museum, in the historic Midiri-Cardona palace. A small hidden treasure a few steps from the Piazza del Duomo, which houses the Vaccaro collection consisting of puppets, marionettes, sets, tools and props.

Get ready for adventure and fun at the Parcallario, an Adventure Park in Buccheri, which is always in the province of Syracuse. You’ll wear the appropriate equipment and prepare to cross acrobatic paths suspended between trees, Tibetan bridges, ziplines on pulleys, ropes, nets, footbridges and routes that are entirely safe for children.

Another Adventure Park in the province of Syracuse is the Cavapark Adventure in Rosolini, which, in addition to the 10 routes, offers activities like sport climbing on real rock, archeo-trekking and mountain bike tours.
