States-General of Cinema

The “States General of Cinema”, promoted and organised by the Sicilian Region in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, ENIT and the City of Syracuse, will take place from 12 to 14 April 2024 at the Maniace Castle in Syracuse, on the island of Ortigia. Among the main topics they will deal with tax credit, cine-tourism and internationalisation, to feed an observatory on the dynamics and perspectives of the audiovisual system.

Three days of debates, talks and round tables, with more than 200 authoritative representatives of Italian cinema: directors, producers, actors, scriptwriters, distributors, critics and other key figures in the field of professional training.

Among the events open to the public, Friday 12 April at 8 p.m. in Piazza Duomo in Ortigia will include the screening of the restored version of the film “Divorce Italian Style”, while on Saturday 13, also at 8 p.m. in Piazza Duomo, there will be a concert entitled “Notes on the sidelines” by Nicola Piovani.
