Presepe Vivente of Monforte San Giorgio

Dettaglio

On 25 and 26 December 2024 and 1, 5 and 6 January 2025, from 5.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m., the Presepe Vivente of Monforte San Giorgio will offer visitors an experience of deep reflection and spirituality, centred on the theme of the Jubilee of the Holy Year: ‘Pilgrims of Hope’.

The itinerary evokes life’s journey, similar to that of the disciples of Emmaus, inviting reflection on the difficult moments in which, despite everything, God’s love remains constant. The narrative unfolds through the love story that began in Nazareth, continued in Jerusalem and culminated in Bethlehem with the birth of Jesus, portrayed by talented actors who will bring the events of the Gospels to life.

Visitors will be guided through the characteristic alleys of the village, animated by scenes of daily life with ancient crafts, actors in period costumes and historical reconstructions. The magic will be amplified by the melodies that will resound in the neighbourhoods of Jerusalem, between the lively atmosphere of the market and the silence of sacredness.

Like the Magi guided by the light of hope, the audience will arrive at the conclusion of the journey: an authentic representation of the Nativity, in the poverty of a manger, where the Saviour is born, offering a profound message far removed from the pomp of appearance.

An immersive experience that combines faith, culture and tradition, giving participants a Christmas full of emotions and reflections.
