Presepe Vivente in Calatafimi Segesta

Once again this year, in the evocative streets of Calatafimi Segesta’s historic centre, the Old Bethlehem will come to life with concerts, permanent exhibitions, surreal villages and Christmas music. On the dates of 26, 28 and 29 December 2024 and 4, 5 and 6 January 2025, the Presepe Vivente  will offer visitors an enthralling and authentic experience of the Nativity, enlivening the ‘Li Ficareddi’ district (entrance via Roma 13) with figures in period costume, craft workshops, peasant settings and ancient trades.

Organised by the ‘Calatafimi è’ cultural association, the event will involve around two hundred participants who will animate the alleys illuminated by soft lights, amidst the scents of typical products and the traditional Christmas melodies of the pipers.

On 6 January, the programme will culminate with the evocative re-enactment of the arrival of the Three Kings who, in search of the Saviour, will bring their gifts to the Grotto of the Child. An event that conveys the magic of Christmas, offering an exciting journey through time and tradition.
