The great archaeological cinema and its protagonists return to Sicily with the second edition of “Naxos Archeofilm 2024”, the archaeology, art and environment festival scheduled in Giardini Naxos on 12, 13 and 14 July 2024 in the archaeological area of the Naxos Park, the first colony of the Greeks on the island.
The “Naxos Archeofilm 2024” is produced by the Naxos Taormina Archaeological Park and organised in collaboration with the Sebastiano Tusa Foundation and Firenze Archeofilm/Archeologia Viva directed by Piero Pruneti. Over three days it will offer the public screenings of world-selected masterpiece films and meetings with archaeologists, scholars and documentary filmmakers interviewed live for a journey back and forth along the timeline to discover the most ancient civilisations of the past.
Two prizes will be awarded: the “Naxos Archeofilm 2024” awarded by the public to the most liked film (each evening will be able to express their vote on special cards) and the “Premio Sebastiano Tusa” awarded to the personality who has distinguished himself in the communication of cultural heritage. All evenings are free admission and will take place at the Nike Theatre in the Naxos Park and begin at 9.15 pm.
