Ecàte. The way of desire

“Hecate: the way of desire” is the sculptor Stefania Pennacchio‘s exhibition set up from 14 June to 30 October 2024 in the Naxos Archaeological Park: six large works punctuate the site of the first Greek colony in Sicily, evoking one of the archetypes of Hecate, the goddess capable of giving rise to desires and instilling the necessary strength to realise them.

A project, that of the Ecàte exhibition, which includes a relational art experience involving visitors in finding their dreams, giving them substance and symbolically entrusting them to the goddess.

A night-time event is dedicated to the exhibition, on 10 August, with “The Night of Hecate”: a visit under the stars with a soundtrack of ancient Greek verses and instruments by musicologist and lyricist Rosa Fragorapti and visual installations by Giuseppe La Spada, a photographer and filmmaker who has always focused on the relationship between man and nature.
