Bronte Pistachio Festival

For two weekends, from 4 to 6 and 11 to 13 October 2024, Bronte will celebrate the XXXIII edition of the Bronte Green Pistachio DOP Festival, transforming the centre of the Etnean town into a showcase dedicated to the renowned green pistachio. Food stands will offer a wide range of pistachio products, attracting visitors from all over the region.

The official opening will take place on Friday 4 October at 6 pm, with the ribbon-cutting ceremony and the opening of the stands. This will be followed by a painting exhibition at the Circolo di Cultura and concerts in the Piave, Rosario, and Cimbali squares. Among this year’s novelties, a sensory workshop on Pistacchio DOP organised by the Aiace association.

During the Festival, the evenings will be enlivened by musical performances, dance exhibitions and concerts. The first Sunday will see a mix of folklore, music and dance, while an absolute novelty will be the 1st Bronte Pistachio City Boxing Trophy 2024.

Sunday 13 October will be the highlight, with the traditional pistachio cake and the evening show Sicilia in Festa – 1° Premio Orgoglio Verde Città di Bronte, hosted by Diego Caltabiano, which will officially close the event in Piazza Cimbali.
