Author’s Ceramics

From 29 to 31 July 2024, Sciacca is preparing to host the second edition of ‘Sciacca, Author Ceramics’, an event celebrating ceramic art and the city’s rich history.

Local ceramic workshops will be the protagonists, creating new jars that will become true works of art. These unique creations will be displayed in Piazza Saverio Friscia and along Via Roma, transforming the historic centre into an open-air art gallery. The jars, inspired by illustrious personalities who have left an indelible mark on the history of Sciacca and the province of Agrigento, will pay homage to Sicily’s extraordinary cultural heritage.

During the event, visitors will have the opportunity to participate in guided tours of the historical centre, discovering the hidden beauties, the city’s secrets, and the fascinating ceramic workshops that keep this ancient craft tradition alive. The three days will also be enriched by shows and entertainment, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere for residents and tourists alike.
