The Concerts of the Archaeological Park Villa Romana del Casale

Following the success of the “The Concerts of the Villa Romana del Casale and Morgantina” editions, the Archaeological Park Management is launching, for the first time, a special winter music review: “The Concerts of the Villa Romana del Casale Archaeological Park”.
The musical review, to be held from 30 November 2024 to 5 January 2025, will animate the winter period with a series of events aimed at enhancing the historical and cultural heritage of the area.

The heart of the review will be Palazzo Trigona, in Piazza Armerina, a splendid example of Baroque architecture and home to the Archaeological Museum of the Villa Romana del Casale. This historic building will host five concerts with internationally renowned artists, creating a dialogue between music and the fascination of history.

The event will also involve the town of Mazzarino, where two events will take place at the Church of Sant’Ignazio di Lojola, located near the Archaeological Area of Sofiana. Here, the public will be able to enjoy outstanding performances, including a duo recital by violinist Maya Levy and pianist Alexander Yakovlev, as well as a concert by pianist Kateryna Titova.

A special event dedicated to Christmas will be held on 23 December at the Church of San Francesco in the Archaeological Museum of Aidone, with a performance by the Sicilian polyphonic choir Cantate Omnes. The event will offer a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in the evocative atmosphere of Christmas through the beauty of live music.
