34th Edition of Presepe Vivente of Melilli

The Presepe Vivente of Melilli returns on the dates of 26 and 28 December 2024 and 1 and 6 January 2025, for its 34th edition. 

A well-established tradition, the Melilli Presepe  is an unmissable event that involves the entire local community. Since 1990, this representation has come to life in the 18th-century garden of the Capuchin Friars Minor, transforming the village into an evocative re-enactment of Palestine two thousand years ago. Actors in period costumes recreate the trades and scenes typical of a village at the time of the Infant Jesus, offering visitors an authentic and engaging experience.

Every year, around 150 participants take part in the event, which with its historical fidelity attracts thousands of visitors from all over Sicily.
