Stragusto

Mediterranean Street Food Festival

A journey through the traditions, stories, flavours and atmospheres of Mediterranean and other street food. All this is Stragusto, the Festival of Street Food and Markets that reignites Trapani‘s stunning Piazza Mercato del Pesce, welcoming numerous producers.

The objective of “Stragusto”, an initiative organised by Trapani Welcome with the patronage of the Municipality of Trapani, is to recover and enhance the great heritage offered by street food producers, true artisans of taste, who hand down the culinary tradition of their area from generation to generation. Food, especially street food, is the expression and heritage of a community, it is history but also the evolution of habits and tastes. This is where “Stragusto” comes from, and it is in this context that diversity becomes richness, in a perfect place for this event, such as Sicily, which for centuries has welcomed numerous peoples and traditions.

Confirmed is the wine tasting area to taste the best wines of the area, guided by experts in the sector, in the splendid setting of the Mura di Tramontana, a stone’s throw from the square, perhaps in front of one of the magical sunsets that Trapani can offer.

Further information on the event can be found at: www.stragusto.it.
